Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Kern County People Search does not save a copy of those searches on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard server logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
The limited information described above helps us operate the site, resolve technical problems, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Kern County Assessor-Recorder, Kern County Superior Court, California agencies, library collections, or third-party search tools. Each destination sets its own privacy rules. Information entered on those sites, including through sponsored search results, is controlled by the destination's policy rather than this one.
Who May Receive Information
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Information Is Protected
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes stated above. Because visitors do not create accounts, the site holds no visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information so it can be deleted.
California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may give California residents rights to know, correct, or delete covered personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and opt out of sale or sharing. It also bars discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. Because Kern County People Search holds very little visitor information, a request will usually involve the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records held by Kern County or California agencies remain outside our control, so a correction or removal request for an official record must go to its custodian.
